What's your story?
I deep dove into yoga and meditation in 2015 when I was experiencing a time of confusion, trauma and anxiety. I started a meditation practice in the summer by sitting on the beach alone and embracing all thoughts and feelings that came with it. I began taking classes a few months later and found solace in my practice. Finding a practice and connecting with my inner being has shifted my perspective on life. I was angry, agitated, lost. Through yoga I have been given the gift of patience and compassion. My time on the mat allowed me to recognize the depths of my true soul and manifest the life I truly wanted.

Even though I was working hard on my inner self, my outside life was still difficult. Working jobs I wasn’t happy with and bouncing from place to place just looking for a second home. My mother knew how dear yoga was to my heart and pushed me to take teacher training. She found Revolution Yoga and read about the teacher training provided by our wonderful owner Amanda. I have my mother to thank for supporting me and helping me achieve my dreams. I always wanted to be a teacher, influence, guide for others. Finding my way on that path was confusing, but once I started my journey at Revolution I have never looked back. I have found where I am meant to be.

What do you teach?

I teach a weekly class at Revolution Yoga that is open level vinyasa. I am certified in all types of yoga but I truly enjoy teaching vinyasa, yin and restorative. No matter the class, seeing your students calm and present by the end of their practice is the greatest reward of teaching.

What are your greatest passions in life?
Of course yoga, hula hooping, knowing my worth, my dog Finley, and my support system (my family, friends, and my community at Revolution)

How do you plan on changing the world?Day by day. Person by person. Paying it forward. Practicing pure and honest intentions. We have to change ourselves in order to change the world. We have to be patient with ourselves in order to be patient with the world. Hopefully creating a ripple of love and knowledge.

How many passport stamps do you have?I just got a passport this year so there are no stamps on it yet. I have traveled almost the whole east coast. I have also been to Dominican Republic, Canada (Toronto), Bermuda and Bahamas. The two must-go-to places on my bucket list are Ireland and Amsterdam.
